Wild Roots, Wise Weeds back
A weekend study of plant medicines
  • Date: September 10-12
  • Time: Friday, 6 pm (dinner)-Sunday, 2 pm
  • Cost: $260 (includes meals and lodging)

Our ancestors knew about the medicinal value of plants. This neglected knowledge needs once again to be embraced as part of our vital human heritage.

Join us for a weekend exploration of wild plants and how they can enhance our well-being. We will learn about these plants and gather them during several plant walks. With these plants you will learn to make tinctures, teas, salves and more. We will also explore the medicinal value of herbs and spices in our own kitchens.

Program Staff:

Committed to helping others discover their sense of place in the southern Appalachians through study of the natural world, she founded the Blue Ridge Naturalist program at UNC-Asheville.

Lara Greenspan
